D.I.S.C.O!!! Y6 style!

Pattern making

In foundation 2 this week we are looking at and making our own patterns. We are using some art work by Kandinsky who used circles to make patterns in his work.

We will be using paint outside, pastels, pegs and peg boards and skittles to make our own versions.

Year 1 Gymnastics

Year 1 are having a super time learning how to be gymnasts. They have a special coach in for 6 weeks and are learning lots of new skills. Well done everyone! 

Planting in year 1 Blue

Thank you to all of the parents who came to help with our planting today. Will we have some beans talks to climb tomorrow? 😀

Looking after chicks in year 1

Year one were sent some eggs on Monday morning and they have hatched into baby chicks! 

They have been busy learning all about them and have written some super facts. Well done everyone. 

Harlow Carr Gardens

Foundation 2 really enjoyed their trip to Harlow Carr Gardens. We got look around the gardens, look for minibeasts hiding in the leaf litter and in the soil and pond dipped to find lots of different creatures including a newt, a rams horn snail and a dragonfly nymph!
