Art & Crafts after school club create Rangoli patterns to celebrate Diwali!

Year 3 experiencing Shabbat. A member of the Jewish community came in today to talk to us about Shabbat. He showed us how it is celebrated each week. We all plaited some dough to make the bread that they eat.

All day some of our parents really enjoyed making and decorating buns to help sell and raise money for children in need.

F1 Divali

Our children have been exploring colour and pattern. We have been making Rangoli patterns to celebrate the Hindu festival, Diwali. 

Flashmob music!

After working with Mr Alex all half term Y6 invited Y3 to come to the red room and watch a performance of Beethoven's 'Ode To Joy'... Little were Y3 expecting the Flashmob experience which followed! 

Get stuck in!

After creating sketchbooks and improving observational drawing skills last half term, 6Blue,were today enjoying 'getting their hands dirty' beginning to mask make, and get creative using papier mâché!  Keep your eyes peeled for the finished product! 

 

Y6 Diwali

To mark the Hindu festival of Diwali next week, Y6 completed Rangoli patterns. The class worked by fairy light, to remind ourselves that Diwali is the 'Festival of Lights' when light/good beat 

dark/evil.

We are celebrating Diwali, the Festival of Light, in F1. The children have made Divas today using clay and colourful jewels.
