Reading!

Children in 1 Red decided to share stories. Here, we are sharing 'The Twelve Dancing Princesses'.

Y6 are making international connections

We had a visit from 12 boys from The Mayo College in  Rajasthan, India.  Although we found a shared loved of school holidays and pasta, we also found some major differences between our lives. All the y6s are jealous they don't go to boarding school for extended school hours - honest!!

Creating New Characters!

Year 1 are creating new characters for 'The Gingerbread Man'. This morning we tasted yummy treats to help us create new characters. The children thought of 'The Cookie Man', 'The Crunchy Man' and many more names! Then we described them.

Y6: The Red Tree

We're using this book as a stimulus for our writing. This week, we have been working on the themes of the book, as well as the illustrations and the limited use of text that the author - Shaun Tan - selects. Today we're researching news stories that reflect the theme of our pages to add to our illustrations.

Y6: Life Goals...(world of work)

This afternoon we're deciding on our life goals and then looking at how we're going to get to them!

Y6: World of Work...

Today, we've been lucky enough to be joined by some volunteers (Helen, Wendy, Jayne and Gill) from Leeds City Council, who've come in to work with us on the theme of aspiration - what could we be when we're older?

We've been doing a lot of discussion and creative activities to investigate how we can plan for our future...starting now!
