Year 6 Secondary and Tertiary colour mixing...

We've been experimenting with colour this afternoon in Year 6! We us used a picture from 'The Viewer' by Gary Crew, illustrated by Shaun Tan to inspire us to create our own 'patchwork quilt' of colours that interested us.

We're really gearing up towards the big performance now!...here we are rehearsing some of the key scenes...lights...camera...

Tessellate...designs...translate...reflect...rotate...in Year 6

In maths today, Year 6 have been trying out their hand a fabric design...planning a small pattern and repeating it after one or more processes: reflecting, rotating or translating. We've tried to be as careful as we can reproducing the original design, otherwise it can throw the whole final design off!
